In Wittwer "Die Galerie der Meissen Tiere", published Munich 2004, the author lists four examples modelled by JJ Kandler between 1732 and 1736, including two in the Zwinger, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, USA. It is recorded that there was a subsequent form made by Karl Stein in 1922. |
