Mid 19th century, the Cantonese carved cylindrical box inscribed Napoleon's Tomb beneath a relief carved depiction of the burial site, further relief carving to the sides; the eight mother-of-pearl counters all with Longwood House to one side and Napoleon's Tomb to the other

CONDITION:

The box exterior bears the usual very minor knocks, scuffs and tiny splits consistent with age, use and the natural formation of ivory, but is essentially in perfectly good order. the counters within are also in perfectly good order.
