Measurements: click here
Estimate: £250 - £350
Hammer price: £500
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Circa 1815 and later adapted, of circular form, with reeded outer edge above a cavetto course of applied spheres, with ebonised reeding at the sight edge

CONDITION:

The object bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use but is in basically good order. The gilding is original. It is a little rubbed in places but not unattractively so. Two or three of the spheres are chipped. There are minor and stable cracks within the gesso, and also to the ebonised sight edge. The mirror plate appears to be period and has deteriorated, but is perfectly usable.
