Measurements: click here
Estimate: £600 - £1,000
Hammer price: £1,100
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Loosely in the manner of Wright & Elwick, mid 18th century, the top with moulded front and edges, above two short and two graduated long drawers, all with ormolu swing handles and backplates, the straight legs with arched supports and chamfered inner edges, on broad barrel castors

CONDITION;

The chest bears the usual minor marks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use, but is in basically presentable shape. The exposed areas like corners are more worn and the timber shows through in these places. The lower drawer does not close properly and might be a little warped. There is cockbeading missing at various places. The moulding is lacking from the lower right side. Two arched mouldings are missing from the underside.
