Mid 18th century, the crossbanded rectangular top with ovolo moulded front and side edges, the frieze drawer with twin brass swing handles, above a beaded apron with twin terminals, the cabriole legs descending from scroll carved knees to stylised feet
CONDITION:
The lowboy bears the usual minor knocks, scuffs and abrasions overall consistent with age and use. It is of good, rich colour. it might have been repolished.
Minor replacement sections of moulding to top. One foot retipped. Two other feet have replaced lowest 1/2inch of foot. Signs of 19th century strengthening work to underside corners. very minor traces of (old and dead) worming to legs.
The lowboy remains in good, solid and presentable order.
