A SATINWOOD AND GLAZED BUREAU BOOKCASE IN SHERATON STYLE,

20th century, with moulded cornice above twin astragal glazed doors; the fall front with marquetry decoration and opening to a fitted interior, above four drawers, a serpentine apron and short splayed legs

CONDITION:

The bureau bookcase is in basically good order overall, with just the usual very minor knocks, scuffs and abrasions consistent with age and use. The right back leg is a bit more knocked. There are three or four dirty deposits to the exterior which can presumably be easily cleaned off. There is slight shrinkage to the fall front, so that the top and bottom edges have contracted a little towards each other. A later brass lock plate has been added at some point.
