Circa 1815, the hinged rectangular top with rounded, corners, above frieze panels of recessed horizontal reeding, on four reeded, tapering and splayed legs to cast metal hairy paw feet
CONDITION:
The table bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use. It has a dark and treacly surface overall and might have been refinished at some point, although not recently. Alternatively this might be the original Asian surface treatment. There are two rubbed circular areas to the top. Baize is replaced. There is slight shrinkage to the upper leaf so that its front edge does not fully align with the front edge of the lower leaf. Otherwise the table is in perfectly presentable order.
