the long shaped rest carved in low relief with tassels to either end, the removable bamboo panel incised with a calligraphic poem: a pure and solitary life, a remnant of snow, getting up early in the cold morning, with a fire on, a visit to a friend’s home in a remote place, playing a metal flute for pleasure” and the inscription is dated the autumn of the 3rd year of the Daoguang era (1823 in the Western calendar year).
