late 19th century, the central openwork scroll cast upright with two hooks, with a conforming horizontal bar with three hooks, above a foliate cast walking stick retaining bar, the 'D' shaped base with lift out drip tray, the reverse cast with diamond date stamp,

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use 

One hook is a little loose, but otherwise all elements are present.  The item has been repainted. Oxidisation in showing through the pain in places overall.  The paint inside the drip tray is flaking overall, with mor significant oxidisation below.  None of the rust is deep and there is no weakness in the metal.
