circa 1765, the shaped top with ovolo moulded front and side edges, the inverted breakfront with two drawers, each with ormolu handles and escutcheons, raised on cabriole legs carved with foliage at the knees and feet,

The commode bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.

There are very minor traces of now extinct woodworm in places. Also minor and naturally occurring splits in places. 

Gilt areas have been regilt. losses to gesso in places.

Metalware is probably original.

Basically good overall condition.
