circa 1815, her serene visage turned to dexter, her hair worn up as a coiled plait above a central parting, her décolletage lightly draped and buttoned at the shoulders, on a waisted circular section socle, 

Provenance: Acquired at Roche Court, Winterslow, Salisbury Sale, Humbert, King and Chasemore, 23rd & 24th October 1978, Lot 957.

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. lower edge of socle has some more pronouced chips. transaction of the back is scuffed. dirty overall and might benefit from a overall clean. Bust and socle have been previously separated and refixed with mortar or plaster of some kind, which has drip-hardened down the back of the socle. no obious damage.
