A COTTON AND SILK DRAPED CHANGING TENT,

Provenance: Believed to have been purchased at a dispersal sale of Vivien Leigh's possessions at Mere, Wiltshire, after the actress's death in 1967; afterwhich, apparently sold at Lawrences, Crewkerne in 2005. The lot was described as having reputedly been the property of Vivien Leigh. The tent apparently served well when she required a change of clothes between scenes, whilst filming on location

mid 20th century, the fabrics arranged on an iron frame, with spherical finial and conical top, the drapes with tasselled edges at the opening,

All fabrics are worn, and in places torn. They are also faded in places. They do hang perfectly satisfactorily though. The meatal frame is in good order.
