circa 1825, of rectangular form, with twin hobnail cut glass ink wells flanking a cylindrical jar with foliate cover mounted with an urn candle socket as a chamber stick, with concave pen recesses to front and back and with a foliate cast loop handle at each end; with repousse foliate sides and spherical feet,
Height 12cm

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. The glass pots are a snug fit and would appear to be original. Gilt surfaces are a little worn overall, but generally speaking the lot is in good shape.
