with adjustable pleated silk shades and circular bases, 49cm high (2) 

Provenance: These lamps form part of the original fittings when electricity was first introduced to Castle Ashby. Later the lamps were purchased by the Thynne family of Longleat. 

Height 49cm

The metal elements are tarnished and dirty overall. 

The fabric of the shades is worn out overall.

Electrical elements will need renewing.

One lamp has a bakelite switch missing from the hinge arm.

There is stiff card under the pleated silk
