Estimate: £600 - £1,000
Hammer price: £1,500
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.
mid 18th century, the upper section with moulded cornice above two short and three long drawers, the lower section with three further graduated long drawers, on bracket feet,
Height 178cm
Width 108cm
Depth 53cm

The item bears the usual very minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and normal use.  It has a light hue overall, but without the dry look synonymous with sun bleaching.

Some small replacements to veneers at the front. Also three or four small losses to veneers.

There's a filled crack along the cornice at the left side, of circa 15".

The feet are probably later.

Handles and escutcheons appear to be original, being suitable for the period and there being no signs of any other metalware ever having been place. (No other fixing holes). However, there are very faint shadows in places around the escutcheons -possibly just coincidental discolorations.

Otherwise the lots appears to be in perfectly good order
