Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.
circa 1640 with later elements, the rectangular seat with moulded edges, the friezes with simple linear mouldings, above knop turned and incised legs to block feet and peripheral stretchers,
Height 54cm
The top 45 x 27cm

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks overall consistent with age and use.

Old worming to lower legs and feet. Also to two stretchers and one long frieze.

One corner of seat is retipped.  The two end friezes might be later.

Seat is probably not original to the rest, there being a 'shadow' to its underside. Also later blocks.
