Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.
circa 1825, of rectangular form, with inverted breakfront cornice of stylised acanthus, above a knopped half-spindle frieze to lions' masks at each side, with conforming pilasters at the sides and half spindles to the bottom,
Height 70cm
Width 129cm

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. Sections of gesso are loose in places, particularly to the left pilaster. Other areas of moulding are missing altogether, including a section of the central anthemion, to the bottom side. Painted areas are retouched. The plate is a later replacement, but is deteriorating.
