Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

mid 18th century, the rectangular top with raised edging, cusped at the corners, above serpentine aprons and four slender cabriole legs, descending to faceted pad feet,

Height 73cm
The top 84 x 53cm

The item bears the usual very minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and normal use.

There are various old, dark stains to the top throughout.

There is restoration to the rim at the corners, necessitated by damage to the legs below. Three of the four legs, and possibly the fourth have broken away at the top and been restored back into place.  The work is perfectly well done and the table structurally sound, but it is fairly obvious to the eye when sought out. The fourth leg has a strange indentation of circa 6" descending vertically near the top.

Elements of the aprons are later replaced, as are the blocks to the underside.
