circa 1880, in Renaissance revival taste, the rectangular top with carved front and side edges above two frieze drawers with profusely scrolling foliage in relief, above twin panelled doors with conforming foliage around central grotesques, flanked by figural and foliate terms to each side, on a conforming base,

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. More significant chips to the noses of the herm cherub heads. Stains to the top. The left is broken and when opened its toprail comes away from its left side. Hinges are replaced. Traces of woodworn in places overall.
