with a ho-ho bird finial above the openwork scrolling foliate top, sides and underside, around a rectangular plate,
Height 134cm
Width 64cm

The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. Gilding appears to be original with the red bole showing through in places overall. Neck and upper wing of the bird have been broken off and re-attached at some point. There is an old metal stregtherner to the back of the circlet below. The foliate spray within the circlet is loose. There are minor chipped losses to extremities overall. Mirror plate and backboards are proably later replacements.
