Canvas relined, craquelure visible, heavy in some patches particularly upper centre,  some evidence of sensitive overpainting in places evident under UV light, more noticeable around the central lighthouse.

The work is apparently unsigned but has been previously authenticated by John Mitchell Fine Paintings, formerly of Old Bond Street, London.
