circa 1815, the blade supported in twin openwork anthemia, within a dished octagonal base, 33cm high x 36cm long

The item has been repainted, more than once. The current painted surface is chipped, knocked and scuffed overall consistent with age and use.

There is rust to surfaces in places overall, but this in no weakens the structure of the object.

No obvious losses to the anthemia ends.

There are four hole to the base to allow it to be secured to the floor.
