Note: Thomas Willson is entered in directories as a furniture broker and appraiser of 68 Great Queen Street between 1821 and 1829. From 1830-37 the Great Queen Street business was continued by his wife Mary Willson & Son. After 1838 it is listed at the same address as 'Matthew Wilson, furniture warehouse, furniture work, upholsterer', until 1854.

circa 1825, with shallow pediment and dentilled cornice, above two arched panel doors, the interior with shelves, a later hanging rail and drawers, the uppermost stamped for the retailer T.WILLSON, 68 GREAT QUEEN STREET LONDON to the top edge, 238cm high x 148cm wide x 67cm deep 

The item bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use. The right side has losses to the veneers below the cornice and surface scratches. There is minor fading to the bottom areas of each door. The fabric lining to the interior is torn and stained overall. The recessed brass ring handle of the laundry bin is broken off, but the catch still operates easily. The hanging rail is a later adaption. Interior hanging height: 123cm, interior hanging depth: 54cm.
