circa 1840, with ogee moulded cornice, above a central panel door with canted side angles, the doors either side with conforming canting, on a plinth base; the interiors with slides, drawers and hanging rails, 229cm high x 226cm wide x 72cm deep 

The item bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use. Some areas of scuffing to the front. There is water staining to the interior caused by a ceiling leak above. This is now dry and there is no warping evident. The cornice is broken at the right side of the breakfront.
