Lot 925

A REGENCY OR GEORGE IV MAHOGANY DRESSING TABLE, ATTRIBUTABLE TO GILLOWS,

Note Strong comparisons can be drawn with the dressing table in lot 584 above, stamped Gillows. The example here is concave fronted, but the arrangement of the drawers around a shallow kneehole arch, and flanked to each side by panels is virtually identical -obvious similarities are clear in the legs too
Estimate: £2,500 - £3,500
Hammer price: £3,600

circa 1820, with three-quarter gallery above a concave front with five drawers arranged around the kneehole, on knop turned, waisted and reeded legs to brass caps and castors, 84cm high x 108cm wide x 58cm deep
