Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.

Provenance: Probably acquired on the London Art Market in the 1950's or 1960's.

An alternative attribution to Jean Henry d'Arles (1734-1784) has been suggested.

In good country house condition. Both canvases have old re-linings with associated scattered re-touching. The frames are in good condition with some losses in places, including one side to a central scroll at the bottom of one frame.
