Cover boards worn, scuffed and scratched overall. Front cover board is detached.

First page is inscribed in ink for 'Florence O'Driscoll, 2 Bickenhall Mansions, London, April 1905'

The book is a 1633 edition, as catalogued.

The pages are dirty and foxed overall, with many creases and some minor tears in places. The book is in very much 'used' condition.

The final page of the book is numbered 391, and the text has ‘Finis’ after it. 

Using the List of Maps opposite page 1 in the book, for reference, the following are present:

The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th (loose), 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th (loose), 14th (loose), 16th, 17th (this is fixed in but not at p 382 as the list suggests, rather at p 182).

There is another fold-out map, not listed in the Maps list, between pp192 and 193, ‘The Passage of the Army’.
