Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

The chest bears the usual minor knocks, splits and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.

There are several dark stains to the top. There is a later fillet of timber along the back edge of the top.

Metalware appears to be original.

The chest has been adapted at some point so that it is now in two halves -upper and lower sections, presumably to facilitate its moving. The work is not recent and is well executed.
