'The Knoll' in Beckenham, in Kent was the home of Peter Snow's father, the civil engineer Sir Frederick Snow, who was responsible for constructions such as Unilever House, South Africa House and the Kingsway Underpass. He was also the overall designer for Gatwick Airport in the 1950's
