There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use. As noted in the catalogue, the top is 17th century marquety and the base is 19th century. Top is loose from the base.  The marquetry is very slightly different between the top and base. The top has several old shrinkage cracks and is a little warped in the centre. Cracks at the top and bottom edges and also from the struts in the carcase below showing through the veneer. Some old chips and worm hole sin the feet, but otherwise in lovely old-fashioned 'country house' condition.
