A CHINESE PORCELAIN VASE,

finely enamelled with two circular medallions, one depicting figures in a lakeside pavilion with blossoming foliage to one side and hills beyond, the other with pavilions and buildings beside a lake with trees in the foreground and mountains beyond, the green ground strewn with flowers and leafy tendrils, the pale blue neck with a spear and stylised leaf border and decorated with bats and stylised flowerheads, mounted with two pink-enamelled mythical beast scroll handles,

the spreading yellow foot painted with further flowers and leafy tendrils above a blue key-pattern border, the base covered in a green glaze and centred by a Qianlong sealmark in iron red, 22cm high

 

Provenance: Trewsbury House, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

The vase appears to be in excellent overall condition, there is minor rubbing to the rim and a very small surface marksman one of the panelled landscapes. Otherwise no obvious signs of damage or restoration.
