Writing surface likely relined. Surface wear and scratches. Cracks and losses to the veneer. One side of the desk is faded in comparison to the other, likely due to sunlight. The doors have been misshapen/warped and the do not fit soundly. The apron underneath the central drawer on one side has become detached. Chips and losses around the pedestal base. Missing sections of moulding around the doors where they have been forced closed/open. Similar damages around some drawers. A split present to the top, across the middle, visible mainly at the edges. Some drawer handles ill-fitting. All the locks are not original. This desk appears to have been in storage, it is dusty and looks like it has not been used for some time. Some evidence of old worm. It would benefit from some sensitive restoration, it has a handsome appearance but needs some tidying. Viewing advised where possible.
