A 19TH CENTURY OAK AND POLYCHROME CRADLE,

the sides painted with scenes of pastoral life, on velvet covered feet, together with a custom metal liner, 64cm high x 58cm wide x 112cm long. The estate of the late Sir David & Lady Black, removed from Beech Farm.

Evidence of old worm. Areas of damage to the oak, where it is now deteriorating. A replacement board underneath the metal liner. Wear and damage to the feet, most likely later. Painting is OK with some splits and cracking, to the bottom corners especially. Viewing recommended.
