Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.

In our opinion the top and the bottom sections are associated. There are number of later elements including: the feet, the locks, the handles and the hinges. There are surface marks and scratches including, scratches and splits to the veneer on the fall-front of the bureau. There are splits to the side of the chest. The moulding around the bookcase glass is warped and splitting. The baize and the interior appears to be later constructed. It appears, although the age and banding is appropriate, that this piece has been constructed in various stages and built from different pieces of furniture. Repairs evident to the veneer. A handle for one of the fall-front supports is missing. Viewing is advised.
