indistinct makers mark, London, 1828, stamped to the bottom 'MAKEPEACE LONDON', of squat form with a domed hinged lid and a formed stained wood handle, with profuse floral decoration throughout, on four paw feet, 27cm long x 17cm high, c.31.5oz
