Violet Spencer-Churchill (1864-1941) was the daughter of Lord Alfred Spencer-Churchill, son of the 6th Duke of Marlborough and Hon. Harriet Louisa Hester Gough-Calthorpe, daughter of the 4th Baron Calthorpe. 
She married Brigadier General Charles Fitz-Clarence, V.C. 20th April 1898 in Citadel Church, Cairo, Egypt. They had two children, Edward Charles FitzClarence, 6th Earl of Munster (1899-1983) and Joan Harriet FitzClarence (1901-1971). 

Henrietta Corkran was a painter, author and illustrator born in Paris, the daughter of an Irish-born author and civil servant. Her sister Alice was the author of children's fiction and an editor of children's magazines.
