The chest of drawers is in fair condition, however does display wear and damage commensurate with its age and use. The top surface bears water marking, fading, ring marks, scratches and scuffing, there is also a noticeable join in the two panels. The front edge of the chest is beginning to lift away and there is splitting present. The drawer fronts are generally good and majorly free from damage, barring some knocks to the wood around the edges and a water drip mark from the top down the top two sets of drawers. The drawers are not a terribly good fit, and there is visible gapping at the tops and sides of the drawers. The drawer knobs appear to be a later replacement with the staining not being uniform and the bottom left knob has broken. The sides of the chest display scratching and age related wear, with a notable split to the left side at the top. The feet appear to have had some attention with repairs having been carried out, and the front apron's veneer has begun to lift and split.
