Both vases are in good condition, though do display some hairline cracking that has discoloured. It appears that both vases are missing their original covers with stands and single cover being later associations and poorly matched.
The larger example with pagoda and figural decoration has one large cross shaped hairline crack and the surface is imperfect with areas of pitting and inclusions in the pottery.
The other example, with floral sprays, has less noticeable hairline cracking, though there is a small crack in the foot and some cracking visible from the inside of the vase. This particular vase bears a signature at the neck of the vase.
