Surface marks and scratches, appropriate with age and use. Knocks and scuffs largely concentrated around the feet and legs. Some splits apparent to the veneer. Wear to the covers and damage to both at the front of the seats. The undersides have been recovered so we cannot see the rails. Each of the feet have a hole in, suggesting there may have been castors originally. Rubbing and chips to the gilt and the moulding. Both chairs are solid.
