Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

The knife boxes are both in good condition with minor wear and blemishes to the surface commensurate with their age and use. There are some small areas of veneer loss, lifting, splitting and possible replacement. The stringing is overall intact inside and out, however there is some noticeable wear to the knife slots. It appears that one knife box has had a set of later hinges fitted, however they both still have matching escutcheons, handles and monogrammed shields.
