Henry
Bingham Morton Mansel-Pleydell was born on the 6th December 1852 at Spetisbury,
Dorset. The son of John Clavell Mansel-Pleydell and Isabel Mansel-Pleydell nee
Colvile.
He
fought in the Egyptian Campaign as a Lieutenant with the Royal Fusiliers
earning the Egypt Medal with clasp Tel-el Kebir. He was promoted to Captain and
posted to Gibraltar, where he contracted Typhoid Fever.
Henry
sadly died ten months later on the 21st February 1886 at Whatcombe, Dorset; he
was 33 years old.

with an unrelated Delhi Durbar 1911 Medal and miniature.
