A MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO WILLIAM BERTIE CHATTERS
William Bertie Chatters was born in 1892 in Stratford, Essex. He was a Printer's Labourer by trade. During the Great War, he served with the 7th (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment. He was entitled to a pair. Bertie was sadly killed in action on the 23rd of August 1918 and is remembered on the Vis En Artois Memorial.
