A CHINESE ENAMEL ALTAR PIECE

representing a Wheel of Life, with finely enamelled polychrome decoration of flowers, leafy tendrils, stylised leaves and scrollwork, within gilt beaded borders, the underside of the base decorated with a stylised flower on a yellow ground and incorporating a Yongzheng four character mark, 22.5cm high x 16.5cm dia. (max)

Some rubbing to the enamel decoration in areas and some minor losses to the enamel (most significantly to the base) . There is some minor pitting to the gilt metal on the interior and some wear to the gilt around the wheel. (please see additional images) In general terms this jewel-like object is in a good state of preservation and the enamel colours remain vivid.
