of mallet shape, with cylindrical neck and everted rim, Southern Song,
16.5cm high x 8cm long x 8cm wide

Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Cheng Te-K'un
Acquired from him by Bluett & Sons and included in an exhibition of "Early Chinese bronzes, jades and ceramics", December 1949, where acquired by Luff.

Appears in good overall condition. There is some crazing to the glaze as to be expected. There is an imperfection to the top rim of the vase, which most likely occurred in the firing and two small chips to the foot rim (possibly in the firing). otherwise, there are no signs of damage or restoration (please see additional images)
