The chest of drawers is in good condition, with some marking and wear commensurate with age and use. The top surface has historic scratching and denting in places, with several ring marks apparent. Likewise, the sides and front of the drawers also display some scratching, scuffing and denting, in particular the lower portion of the sides and feet. The handles, locks and escutcheons appear to be original, there is no key.
