The bed is in good condition, displaying some marking and evidence of general wear and use; there appears to be no evidence of woodworm. There are some areas of marking and scratching to the finish, and some scuffing around the feet. There is a split to the footboard panel and the panels of the headboard seem to have dropped slightly, it also evident that the top of the headboard may have been repaired at some point. The gilt and carved decoration appears in good order.
