an extensive wedgwood 'Persephone' dinner service designed by Eric Ravilious, Circa 1952, comprising of eight coffee cups and saucers, eight soup bowls, two tureens (one missing lid), a sucrier, a cream jug, a coffee pot, two trays of varying sizes, twelve large dinner plates, eight smaller dinner plates, sixteen dessert plates, and thirteen shallow bowls of differing sizes (a lot)

The majority of the service is in good condition, with light rubbing to the foot rims and some evident crazing. One saucer is cracked and repaired. There are a number of small visible firing faults. A small proportion have a greater degree of crazing. Approximately five pieces have small chips to the top rim. Some exhibit greater wear to the foot rims, two coffee cups have small chips to the foot rim. the tureen has repaired chips to the inside of the lid rim. Some would benefit from a clean. One tureen is missing a lid.
