The smaller of the two cases is in fair condition considering its age and use. There are notable dents, scuffs, marks and scratches to the outer surface, with wear to the folding edge and handle being apparent. The interior of the case is free from any ripping or shredding to the lining and the internal tray is present, however there is some staining and rust marking to the calico. All catches are present and function as they should.

The larger of the two suitcases is in fairly poor condition considering its age and use. The surface is very worn and marked in places, particularly the base and underside where there are large obvious areas of damage, splitting and scuffing. The interior of the case is in poor condition with numerous rust marks and areas of water staining, there are also several rips to the lining and the internal tray is missing.
