This wonderful and encapsulating picture has had the canvas relined. There is an area of restoration below the mouth of the hound, which is visible to the naked eye and more so under UV light. There is another larger area of restoration to the top right hand side of the canvas, with areas of re-touching to each of these areas. There is a small area of writing to the bottom right of the canvas which is only appears under UV light (invisible to the naked eye) which is assumed to have been done by the vendors grandfather for security reasons (please see additional images).
