There is wear and surface marks throughout consistent with age and use. There are areas of veneer lifting and missing in parts. There are areas of missing brass inlay and lifting in parts. It is possible the stem has been shortened at some point and then raised with new blocks (please see additional images) there is a new metal bracket for reinforcement to the underside of the legs.
